231 Worship have been busy writing and collecting scripts for over 10 years. We have a wide range of church dramas and skits that can be performed for almost any occasion. Our Christian scripts are biblically based and can be used not only in churches, but most school drama competitions as well.

When Jami wins a free Christmas home makeover, she determines that she first must get the house fixed up and replace worn-out furniture illustrating how we often feel the need to "clean up" before we come to Jesus, rather than letting Him create something new in us.

Gabriel has just left the temple. Zechariah is suddenly mute. Now Rapha and Tromos, two angels, prepare for an on-Earth mission to ensure the miracle child John, who will prepare the way for the Messiah, will be safe. Part of the Even Angels series, in which powerful truths from scripture that even angels long to understand, are unpacked and shared in fresh ways.

The beloved trappings of a typical Birthday celebration are personified in this children’s play as all of them try to claim that you can’t have a Birthday party for Jesus without…well, them! But they are soon to discover that though Jesus doesn’t need them to celebrate Him, they can certainly help point people to the good news of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection!

Actors: 16-20 Minutes: 8

It’s a scene that occurs between the moment the Magi see the star in the sky and the decision to actually leave on the journey to find the newborn King. Those moments of decision, or indecision, to follow God are illustrated in this script.

Jared is celebrating his 75th birthday! As he is aging, he confronts many trials of growing older. He tries to recognize joy whenever troubles come his way.

The music we sing at Christmas helps us to remember the story of Jesus and fills our hearts with hope, peace, love and joy. This series of readings–one for each week of the four Sundays of Advent, as well as a fifth reading for Christmas Day–looks at the inspiring stories behind some of our most beloved songs, including O Holy Night, Joy to the World, and Silent Night. Each script is 3-4 minutes long.

Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount has been dramatized for the stage in this compelling script written entirely from the scriptures. Perform in its entirety as a single production or utilize each scene individually or in small groupings.

Miss Elvira Finch hates Christmas! She despises everything about it—the lights and the noise and the decorations and the presents and the noise and the singing and…did we mention the noise? So when Miss Finch finds a loophole in the town charter, she vows to rid Newville of Christmas, once and for all! But when she encounters the angelic Gabby Gazoo, Miss Finch learns that maybe there’s more to Christmas than she originally thought. With the help of a friendly narrator who speaks entirely in familiar rhyme, this entertaining holiday comedy is fun for actors of all ages and will delight audiences, while reminding them what Christmas is all about.

In this easy to stage and humorous skit, the Innkeeper (yes, that one) surprises his wife with a can’t lose get rich quick idea…this one involving the manger where Christ was born. Her initial skepticism turns to complete buy along with a torrent of ideas on how to pull it off. The Innkeeper starts to feel some uncertainty about it all until a Shepherd, looking for his lost staff, gives him the perspective he really needs.

A young family, unaware of their schedule’s destructive entanglement on their family’s well-being, enters the holiday season with a full calendar. After a medical emergency they realize their flawed view of ‘service’ and appropriately conclude that all things have their right season. The duration of the script is 30 minutes alone, or 60-90 minutes with music.

An allegorical retelling of the well known Christmas story. Join us in celebrating “A Perfect Country Christmas” when not everything seems to be going perfectly. Meet the players in the original nativity story, as well as other Biblical characters who point to the reason for the season and the seasons to come.

Actors: 18-24 Minutes: 30-35

In this monologue, we hear from the older brother, or second son, from Jesus’ parable of the Prodigal Son. This son’s honest feelings come out regarding his brother’s return and his father’s confusing (to him) yet powerful grace. Use this as a standalone piece, or as a seamless lead into a message on grace and reconciliation.

A traditional Thanksgiving Reader’s Theatre takes an unexpected turn when one of the readers remembers to give thanks in all circumstances, even the “bad” ones.

A re-telling of one family’s legacy of faith passed down from generation to generation.

In this humorous parody of a certain well-known reality show, five women from the Bible meet host, Pepper Saltsman, to discuss how a meal can fill more than just our bellies…it can also fill our soul.

This Advent Series Bundle of Scripts includes the following 4 scripts: The Voice of Hope: Wonderful Counselor The Voice of Hope: Mighty God The Voice of Hope: Everlasting Father The Voice of Hope: Prince of Peace Ways to use these scripts: • These scripts may be used individually or with the full Advent series of The Voice of Hope. • The scripts can be used individually over the course of 4 weeks, or for one service. • Use the full series for a service to kick off the Christmas season. • Use the full series for a Christmas Eve candlelight service. • Incorporate the individual scripts into your music service by performing them in between songs, playing music underneath the dialogue and then transitioning into another song. Each script is approximately 2 minutes long. There are 3 readers per script.
