Al discovered his love for the written word at a young age when he discovered the Hardy Boys series. In fact, as a youngster he tried his hand at writing his own Hardy Boys chapter book. It didn’t take long before he knew that language arts was definitely his favorite subject–so much so that he chose teaching English and Creative Writing for his career. Whenever he had extra time, he enjoyed writing for children and teen publications. He’s had more than 200 fiction stories, Bible lessons, devotionals, essays, etc. published in various publications.

After heading up a church drama team and becoming theater director at his high school, his writing interests turned more towards drama. He’s authored a number of drama skits for church use and has written and directed his first full length stage play at his high school. Since then, Al continues working on full length plays, as well as skits and dramas for the Christian market.
